Mission History of WCOM
It was in the summer of 2015, during a leadership seminar/class at Drew University, God brought together two mission minded leaders together. Nzeketha invited Anderson to his church in Plainfield New Jersey. After ministering there they both embarked on planning a mission to Kenya for 2016. Things did not work out as soon as they wanted, but God’s timing is the best. By February 2017, the medical and educational team was established. Bishop Joseph left ahead of schedule to get the Kenyan team ready for the mission. Pastor Anderson lead a team of ten missioners to Kenya, which lasted for two weeks. During this time we were able to treat over one thousand patients, a retreat to the mountain with children and trained about one hundred pastors and leaders in that community.
WCOM Mission is a volunteer- based initiative, working the remote areas of Kenya, touching lives with the love of God. 95%of our donations goes directly to the communities where the volunteers are working, not administrative overheads.
